TAG Heuer is adding a new flavour to the Aquaracer Professional 300 collection with a vibrant orange dial. Just like the latest models introduced last year, the watch was inspired by the reference 844 diver (with an orange dial in this case). The new design in 2021 was more refined than its predecessors, bringing a luxury tool watch for all occasions. The original reference 844 Orange Diver with a tangerine dial was introduced soon after the series launched in 1978 and has since been very popular with collectors. Vibrant orange is nothing new for TAG Heuer divers, but it's a desirable addition to this revamped series.?The stainless steel case is brushed and polished with a 43mm diameter. The 12-sided unidirectional rotating bezel has a black ceramic insert with contrasting white 60-minute Arabic numerals/marks and a detailed 15-minute scale. The triangular marker has Super-LumiNova with a blue glow. The signed crown screws down and is partially guarded by integrated case extensions, and water resistance is rated at 300 metres. A flat sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coatings protects the dial, while a solid case back is engraved with a vintage diver's helmet against a honeycomb pattern. The watch is fitted with a steel three-link bracelet with a double safety push-button clasp and fine adjustment system that increases by 1.5cm.? It has applied black octagonal indices with wedge-shaped counterparts at 12, 3 and 9 o'clock, all filled with Super-LumiNova. The black sword-style hour and minute hands, along with the tip of the seconds hand has Super-LumiNova inserts as well. A partial index at 6 o'clock is interrupted by a date window with a magnifying cyclops on the underside of the crystal. Going back to the white lume, there are two glowing colours, green and blue. The minute and seconds hands glow blue, as does the bezel marker, while the hour hand and indices have a green glow. It's an interesting mix. ?Powering the Aquaracer Professional 300 Orange Diver is the Calibre 5 automatic, which has been used for many years in Aquaracer models. It's based on the Sellita SW200-1 and has 26 jewels, beats at 28,800vph (4Hz) with a 38-hour power reserve. Functions include central hours, minutes, hacking seconds and date.? TAG Heuer's latest Aquaracer Professional 300 Orange Diver (reference WBP201F.BA0632)?retails for CHF 3,200 and will be available as part of the permanent collection in May 2022.
